John Mandeville

Bio

John Mandeville is one of Christian music’s most acclaimed songwriters and producers, writing and producing hits for artists such as Avalon, 4HIM, Point of Grace, and Tammy Trent, among others. Prior to his 2009 solo hit “Glorify,” Mandeville was awarded six certified Gold Records, wrote multiple #1 songs, and was nominated for three Dove Awards for Song of the Year with “Jesus Will Still Be There,” which was included in CCM Magazine’s 100 Greatest Songs in Christian Music.

After several years of silence, 2009 marked the beginning of a solid new relationship with radio and the music scene for solo artist/songwriter/producer John Mandeville, and his I.P.O. Records indie imprint. Mandeville found a strong show of support at radio for his debut single Glorify. In the States, this first single from his solo debut titled We Belong To Heaven spent 14 weeks in the Top 10, climbing to #2 on the U.S. Billboard Soft A/C charts. Glorify ended the year as one of Christian Music Weekly’s Inspirational Top 10 songs in 2009. Glorify also found a solid home in the Top 5 on the 2009 Latin CCM charts, where it stayed for more than four months – in English. Go figure. The video single for Glorify also aired on all major Christian Music video shows including JCTV, Gospel Music Channel and Daystar TV.

As the 2009 year closed, Mandeville’s debut project We Belong To Heaven was honored with an Independent Music Awards nomination for Contemporary Christian Album of the year, which he later won at the turn of 2010. The 2009 Holiday season brought John another unexpected gift – his second Top 5 single for the year. Mandeville’s first Christmas single, Christmas Is You, found immediate support, climbing to #3 in only four weeks on Christian Music Weekly’s 2009 Christmas Chart; soaring among 200+ current Christmas singles.

2010 was a year of continued momentum for Mandeville behind the scenes. Between performing live, working in the studio on other releases, developing other emerging talent through his I.P.O. Records‘ Artist Map process, and the launch of The Artist Map Community 2011 was a very rewarding year. With all of this in motion as 2012 kicks off, Mandeville’s I.P.O. Records imprint will be offering the Artist Map process to a growing number of artists and bands in need of development. It looks like this might be his busiest year yet.
